Lettow finishes seventh at Thorpe Cup

(CHULA VISTA, Calif.) — Former Central Missouri track & field national champion Lindsay Lettow finished seventh at the 2013 Thorpe Cup, an annual combined event competition between the United States and Germany.

The United States had seven of the top eight placewinners to capture the team title for the fourth straight year.
Lettow totaled 5,662 points in the event, 132 points more than her total in last year’s Thorpe Cup in Marburg, Germany. Kiani Profit, of the United States, took home the individual title with 6,133 points. Team USA had the top five place finishers.
Lettow also finished seventh in last year’s Thorpe Cup and earlier this year won the Drake Relays heptathlon. She finished 11th at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, last month.
