Body found in Mississippi River is Missouri man

(CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., AP) — A body found in the Mississippi River has been identified as that of a missing Cape Girardeau man.
Scott County Coroner Scott Amick said Tuesday that a body found in the river on Monday was 24-year-old Joseph Caruso.
The Southeast Missourian reports (http://bit.ly/13qEmTn) Caruso’s family reported him missing over the weekend after he did not return from a night with friends at an East Cape Girardeau nightclub. His car was found Monday.
Amick said the body showed no signs of trauma and drowning was the likely cause of death.
