Mules Golf in 13th place after opening round

(MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala.) – The Central Missouri Mules golf team is in 13th place after the first round of the Jim Bishop Toyota Classic at Fighting Joe’s Golf Club.
The first day was cut back to just one round due to high winds and cold temperatures.
The Mules fired an opening round team score of 323, 35-over par, to sit in 13th place. Central Alabama Community College and Henderson State lead the field after firing an opening round 304. Northern Kentucky was third with a 307, Delta State shot a 309 in fourth and Wallace State Community College rounds out the top five after shooting a 24-over, 312.
Cy Moritz was the highest finishing Mule after round one. He shot a six-over 78 and sits in a tie for 23rd. Jason Vann and Joe Migdal each shot an 80 to tie for 36th, while Mason Good and Teddy Jones are in a tie for 65th after shooting 85’s.
Cameron Thomas of Delta State is the individual leader after shooting an even-par 72.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes beginning at 10 a.m.
