Jennies basketball remain No. 2 in Central Region

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – With a 1-1 record over the last weekend, the Central Missouri Jennies hold on to their No. 2 rank in the latest NCAA Central Regional rankings.
The Jennies have an overall record of 22-4 this season, and trail only Washburn who holds the top spot in the rankings. The Lady Blues defeated Central Missouri in Topeka last Saturday, earning the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MIAA Tournament. UCM holds the No. 2 seed and will face off against No. 10 Missouri Western Friday.
The NCAA Regional Rankings will be released each week through the remainder of the regular season. The final set of rankings will be released on Sunday, March 10, and will be used to fill out the field for the upcoming NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament. The Central Region consists of the MIAA, Northern Sun, and Great American conferences. The NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball selection show will be broadcast online at www.NCAA.com.
98.5 The Bar, 1450 KOKO, and www.warrensburgradio.com will broadcast live during the selection show, as the Jennies learn where they will head for the upcoming NCAA Central Regional tournament, and who they will face. The show, which will feature live reactions from head coach Dave Slifer, as well as key players on the team, will air Sunday, March 10 at 8:55 p.m.
