Jennies Bowling finishes fifth at UCM Women's Invitational

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – The top-ranked Jennies Bowling team posted a 3-0 record Sunday and a 9-3 record for the tournament as they finished in fifth place at the Central Missouri Women’s Invitational hosted in Kansas City.
The Jennies beat Alabama-Birmingham 4-2, Sam Houston State 4-1 before finishing up the tournament with a 4-2 win over Wisconsin-Whitewater. The win over UWW featured a 300 game during Baker match play, something that hasn’t happened for UCM in over 10 years.
Liz Kuhlkin of Nebraska finished as the individual champion with a 238.4 average for the tournament. Kara Richard was the highest finisher for UCM in 17th place with a 195.4 average.
The Jennies are back in action this weekend hosting a Women’s Singles Championship at the Union Bowling Center. Competition begins Thursday night at 6 p.m.
