(KNOB NOSTER, Mo.) – The Knob Noster Boys Basketball Team defeated the Richmond Spartans 54-43 Friday night in the Semi-Final game of the Class 3 District 14 Tournament.
The Panthers led at the half 44-32.
Brett Marsh was the leading scorer for the Panthers with 15 points. David Barton also had a strong game, finishing with 13 points and eight rebounds. Barton showed great defense and had three blocks in the game.
Reid Summers was the leading scorer for Richmond, completing the game with 24 points.
“We played a great game tonight,” Coach Adam Easterwood said. “Richmond is a team that can score from any spot on the court and to hold them to 43 points is a feat in itself. We have a great bunch of kids that have worked hard throughout the season and are now being rewarded for their efforts.”
The Panthers are now 20–7 on the season and take on Higginsville Saturday, Feb. 23 for the District Championship.
