Crest Ridge lost 52-34 to Sweet Springs Tuesday during the I-70 Tournament.
Crest Ridge kept the game close at the half, trailing 18-16.
The leading scorers for Crest Ridge were Austin Bestgen, nine points, and Jake Brookshier, six points.
“We just didn’t come out ready to play,” said Crest Ridge coach Heath Heckadon. “It’s my job to have them ready and I didn’t have them ready to play. We have to continue to get better each game. It will be good to see how we handle some adversity early in the season and how we respond to it.”
