Robert Allen “Bob” Kochenderfer, age 72, died at his home Sunday, Aug. 20.
Arrangements for a remembrance of life service are pending at this time.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Charles and Hester Kochenderfer. Bob served in the US Air Force from 1963 to 1985 retiring as a master sergeant. He worked for Corner Floral for many years and continued to help during the holidays after retiring.
He was a resident of Warrensburg, Missouri, for 40 years and enjoyed going on float trips for leisure, gardening, working in his yard, and helping others. He was a beloved father and loyal friend to those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Lance Kochenderfer of Warrensburg; daughter, Katrina Lynn Turnquist of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and step daughters, Janet Huelsmann and Angie Johnson. He was also survived by seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his partner of 20 years, J.P. Johnson, his parents, and several brothers and sisters.
