John Marvin Hamm

John Marvin Hamm, 57, of Independence, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 2 at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Mo. Cremation will follow the services.
He was born July 18, 1955 in Broken Arrow, Okla., the son of Scott Lee and Elva (Griggs) Hamm. He lived in Independence most of his life where he worked as an auto mechanic.
He married Mary Lynn Bearce in 1977, and she survives his passing. Also surviving are a son, Thomas Hamm and wife, Stephanie, Independence; two daughters, Anna Kusch, Liberty, Mo., and Rachel Hamm and companion, Finley Ediger, Independence; his mother and step-father, Elva and Eldred Osiek, Independence; and eight grandchildren.
