Gov. Jay Nixon plans to visit the University of Central Missouri Tuesday to announce investments designed to strengthen the quality of higher education and affordability in Missouri.
Nixon is scheduled to tour the W.C. Morris Building, located at 419 S. College St., at 1 p.m. A press conference is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on the east side of the building.
Nixon will discuss improvements at UCM made possible through the Building Affordability program, an initiative he proposed in collaboration with public colleges and universities and passed with bi-partisan support in the General Assembly this year, according to a news release.
