Commissioners appoint new hospital board member

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The Johnson County commissioners recently appointed a replacement member for the Western Missouri Medical Center Board of Trustees.
Liz Fatka, of Warrensburg, was appointed to replace Kit Lindsay who resigned on July 30. She was sworn in on Monday.
“We are excited to welcome Liz to our board,” said Susan M. Stiles, president and chief executive officer, in a written statement. “She brings a unique perspective to our board that will prove to be very beneficial.”
Fatka is the director of two local schools: the Early Childhood Opportunity Center preschool/childcare center for birth through age 5, as well as the Christ Church Christian School, a private school for kindergarten through fifth-grade students. She earned her degree in child and family development from the University of Central Missouri.
“I feel anything I can do to help the community is something I am compelled to be involved in,” Fatka said in a news release. “I feel serving on any board can be a learning experience and I hope to gain insight into the operations of the hospital and look forward to meeting new people. I’m very excited to start this new journey.”
Fatka and her husband, Tommy, have been married for 16 years. They have four children: Natalie, 14; Sammy, 12; Luke, 11; and Gabby, 8.
