Man sentenced to 30 years in Missouri man's murder

(WARRENSBURG, Mo., AP) — A northwest Missouri man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for helping a friend kill his father in January 2012.

Christopher Hendren was sentenced for second-degree murder and other charges in the death of Hayes Feldman of Centerview.
Testimony during the trial showed Hendren, who was 16 at the time, accompanied Jacob Feldman to the elder Feldman’s home, where the victim was shot. The Warrensburg Daily Star-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1FWjzMe) investigators said Hendren helped carry the guns that Feldman used to shoot his father.
Witnesses at Friday’s sentencing said Hendren was a good student with no behavior problems before the shooting. But prosecutors say Hendren did nothing to stop Feldman from killing his father.
Jacob Feldman is currently serving a 55-year sentence for his father’s death.
