Cora Mae Miller

Cora Mae Miller, 80, of Warrensburg, Missouri formerly of Chilhowee, Missouri, died Monday, March 9  at her home.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Justin Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Carpenter Cemetery near Chilhowee.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
Cora was born Aug. 28, 1934 in Appleton City, Missouri, the daughter of Earnest Sylvester Bean and Martha (Harmon) Bean. She was united in marriage to Billy Donald Miller on Oct. 16, 1948 in Appleton City. The couple resided in Appleton City from 1951 until 1979, at which time, they moved to Chilhowee. Cora was a CNA at a nursing home in Clinton at one time. Next, she provided home health care for several years. She was a member of Chilhowee Baptist Church. She loved quilting and having her family over for Sunday dinner. Cora was known for her lemon pies. She also loved spoiling her three dachshunds, Princess, Sabrina and Queenie.
Survivors include two sons: Walter Miller and wife, Sue of Chilhowee, Missouri; and David Miller and wife, Victoria of Warrensburg, Missouri; two daughters: Shirley Johnson and husband, James of Chilhowee, Missouri; and Mary Woods and husband, Robert of Knob Noster, Missouri; two sisters: Norma Kloer and husband, Ronald and Judy Clifton, all of Scammon, Kansas; two brothers: Charlie Bean and wife, Linda of Johnson City, Missouri; and Phillip Bean and wife, Colleen of Eldorado Springs, Missouri; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; son, Billy Wayne Miller; great grandson, Max Thomas and several sisters and brothers.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Cora Mae Miller Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
