(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) — The Central Missouri Mules dropped two spots this week to No. 20 in the NABC Division II Men’s Basketball Poll released on Tuesday afternoon. The Mules will open NCAA-II Central Region play as the No. 3 seed on Saturday at noon.
The Mules (24-6) garnered 83 points in the poll to come in at No. 20. Florida Southern (30-1) held down the top spot in the poll for the fifth week in a row with 400 points and all 16 first-place votes. Central Region top-seed Augustana moved up four spots to No. 2 and was followed by Bellarmine at No. 3, another Central Region foe Minnesota State-Moorhead in fourth and West Liberty rounding out the top five.
Three teams that make up the Central Regional are ranked in the top 25 with three other schools; Northwest Missouri State, Minnesota State and Northern State, receiving votes.
The Central Regional will be hosted by Augustana at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota beginning on Saturday.
