(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — City Manager Paula Hertwig Hopkins submitted her letter of resignation to the City Council at the council meeting Feb. 9.
Hopkins accepted a mission call to serve in an administrative mission in Uganda after serving as Warrensburg City Manager for the three years.
“I am confident all will continue to go well,” Hopkins said in a written statement. “It has been a great pleasure and honor to have served the City Council, Warrensburg community and staff.”
Hopkins will work for an executive search consultant as interim city manager until April 16.
“The council has regrettably accepted the resignation of Paula. She has accomplished a good many things for the city and we will miss her,” said Mayor Donna DeFrain.
