Ted J. Spiwak

Ted J. Spiwak, 92, of Holden, Mo. died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Pleasant Hill Health & Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill, Mo.
There will be a funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holden, Mo. with Father Pete Savidge officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holden with Military Graveside Honors provided by Holden Veterans of Foreign Wars, Memorial Post #5844 and Munday-Hancock Post #90, American Legion.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Ted was born June 19, 1922 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Vincent A. and Sophia (Krzyzek) Spiwak. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Margurette L. Lewis on October 9, 1942 in Kansas City. He farmed near Holden, Mo. for over sixty years. Ted was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where he was also a member of Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed bowling in years past as well as being outdoors.
Survivors include four children: Bob Spiwak and wife, Carol of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Ted Spiwak and wife, Karen of North Kansas City, Mo.; Patty Jasper and husband, Dale of Holden, Mo. and Christopher Spiwak of Grain Valley, Mo.; son-in-law: Mike Boston of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; sister: Irene Dinges of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; brother: Chester Spiwak of Kingsville, Mo.; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margurette; daughter: Loretta Jean Boston; sister: Jennie Powell; brother: Jesse Spiwak and grandson: Henry Boston.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Holden Food Pantry or Warrensburg Veterans Home.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
