Robbery set up by Facebook encounter

(MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo., AP) — An encounter set up on Facebook is being blamed for a robbery in suburban St. Louis.

KMOV-TV (http://bit.ly/175MFy8) reports that the crime is being called the first of its kind in Maryland Heights. Police say a man recently exchanged friendly messages with a woman who befriended him on Facebook, and they agreed to meet in person.
When the victim arrived at a Maryland Heights apartment complex, another man approached with a gun and stole his wallet, phone and other items.
A suspect is in custody and police are looking for the woman who conspired in the robbery.
