City seeks proposals for tree removal project

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – City officials are seeking a contractor to remove 18 hazardous trees.
The trees were identified as part of the Warrensburg Tree Board’s citywide public tree inventory. Selected trees include 12 publicly owned street trees, five trees in Shepard Park and one tree in the Nancy Anderson Children’s Memorial Garden. Sealed bid proposals will be accepted in the city clerk’s office located in the Municipal Building at 102 S. Holden St. until 10 a.m. Jan. 8, 2015, according to a news release.
For the fourth year, the Missouri Department of Conservation has awarded the city a Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance grant. The grant covers the first phase of hazardous tree removal.
For more information about the TRIM grant, contact tree board chair Suzy Latare at 660-864-1387 or by email at [email protected]. For more information about the tree board, go to www.warrensburg-mo.com and search for “tree board.”
