Jeanette I. Cunningham, 83, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Sunday, Nov. 2, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
“A Celebration of Life” will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, with Elder Charles A. Brantner officiating, and visitation services beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg.
She was born April 8, 1931, in Rockford, Michigan, the daughter of George Irving and Sarah E. (Hoskins) Brantner.
Jeanette loved her family and church very much and enjoyed spending time with both. She loved to travel when she was able, quilting and reading. She enjoyed her job in food service at the University of Central Missouri for 40 years where she made many lifelong friends, until her health forced retirement.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Tricia Vaughn, and husband, Larry, of Leeton, Missouri; son, Daniel Cunningham and wife, Carrie, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; son, Edward Cunningham, and wife, Cynthia, of Lowell, Michigan; and son, Michael Cunningham, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Charles W. Brantner, of Lone Jack, Missouri, and a sister, Jeanece Stephens (Ross), of Warrensburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, George Daniel Brantner, Gale Irving Brantner and Richard Earl Brantner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in her name with checks made payable to Church of Christ, Temple Lot and left in care of the funeral home.
