Gerald 'Chip' Eugene Byrd

Gerald “Chip” Eugene Byrd, 57, of Lone Jack, Missouri, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, at his home.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Chip lived in the Lone Jack area for more than 13 years. Chip was a dry wall finisher in the Kansas City area for many years and was a member of the Local Union 1594 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Chip is survived by his parents, Gerald D. Byrd and Dorothy J. Hendrickson Byrd of Lone Jack; one son, Dustin Byrd of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Jennifer Kennedy of Wheaton, Missouri; three sisters, Julie Byrd of Lone Jack; Jeana Atkins of Brighton, Colorado; and JoEtta Chrisco of Lone Jack; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the KU Medical Cancer Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Cremation is under the direction of Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
