Mary Chrisman

Mary Chrisman, age 77, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 9 at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.
She was born July 31, 1937, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Anna Belle (Dotson) Deller.
On June 7, 1963, she was united in marriage to Robert Chrisman in Salina, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1995.
Mary was a 1955 graduate of Americus High School and then went to business school for two years. She worked various jobs during her career including a homemaker for the District 3 Area Agency on Aging in Warrensburg, Missouri; a cook at Farmers Elementary School; worked at Office Suppliers in Warrensburg, Missouri and drove a school bus for the Crestridge R-7 School District until her retirement. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and enjoyed working on the farm, gardening, sewing and reading. Mary was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Mary is survived by her three daughters, Christal Thomas and husband Justin of Centerview, Missouri; Joya Gray and husband Mike of Holden, Missouri; and Starlith Slattery of Centerview, Missouri; three sisters, Viola Williamson of Rogers, Arkansas, Hazel Sumstine of Cole Camp, Missouri; and Lorraine Burson of Chillicothe, Missouri; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David and Arthur Deller; two sisters, Anna Belle Lenhart and Florence Ann Deller; and one son, Jevon Chrisman.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 14 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri with Chaplain Erich Kurz officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Meals on Wheels or the Warrensburg Manor Alzheimer’s Unit, and both can be left in care of the funeral home.
