Deloris Irene Johnson

Deloris Irene Johnson, 76, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at North Kansas City Hospital.

There will be a vigil service 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21st at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, immediately followed by visitation from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg with Father Joe Miller officiating. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka, Kansas.
Deloris was born Aug. 30, 1937 in Olathe, Kansas the daughter of Clyde Herbert Eisele and Irene (Siler) Eisele.
She was united in marriage to Larry Kay Johnson on May 4, 1957 in Olathe, Kansas.
She graduated from Emporia State University, and shortly after, moved with her family to Athens, Georgia. In 1964, they moved to Warrensburg where Deloris taught at Sacred Heart Grade School. She eventually took leave of absence from teaching to concentrate on raising her family. More recently, she taught Math and Science at Leeton Middle School until retiring in May of 2000. Deloris received her Master’s Degree from Central Missouri State University. She was an active member of Jaycee Wives. Deloris was also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg. She served as a Eucharist Minister for several years.
Deloris is survived by five children, Larry Johnson II, and wife, Marcie of Blue Springs, Missouri; Gregory Johnson of Greenville, Texas; Clayton Johnson and wife, Tammy of Warrensburg; Deborah Frazier and husband, Leonard of Kansas City, Missouri; Veronica Schrand and husband, James of O’Fallon, Missouri; two brothers: Robert Eisele and wife, Diane of Olathe, Kansas and Michael Eisele Olathe, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; both parents; brother, Clyde Eisele and sister-in-law Betty Eisele.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to UCM Foundation, memo line Dr. Larry and Deloris Johnson Scholarship or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, memo line Deloris Johnson/elevator fund.
