Anna Mae Carter

Anna Mae Carter, 73, of Holden, Missouri, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Home.
Anna was born July 4, 1941, in Foster, Missouri, a daughter of Lloyd Billingsley and Ruby (Anderson) Billingsley. She married Hugh Dabbs on May 28, 1959. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1980. Anna worked as a certified nurses aide and also worked for the United States government in the commodities services division.
Surviving her passing are three sons, Bill Dabbs of Louisburg, Kansas; James Dabbs of Cleburne, Texas; and Lewis Dabbs of Butler, Missouri; four daughters, Nancy Stoddard of Holden; Norm Stewart of Wyoming; Linda Hancock of Holden; and Debbie Pettry of Lake of the Ozarks; brother, Claude Billingsley of Butler; three sisters, Roberta Sage of Amoret, Missouri; Joyce Silvers of Drexel, Missouri; and Lila June of Warsaw, Missouri; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Justin Padley and Joanna Stewart.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Appleton City Cemetery in Appleton City, Missouri.
Memorial contributions can be made to Johnson County Hospice.
