'Hidden cash' craze hits St. Louis

(ST. LOUIS, AP) — It’s a modern day treasure hunt, and as a result, cash is turning up around the St. Louis area.

Using the Twitter handle @HiddenCash314, an anonymous person is giving away cash.
The idea is similar to a craze in California last week. Someone is dropping envelopes of cash at several secret locations around the St. Louis area.
A clue was posted on Twitter on Sunday, hinting that an envelope of cash was near the U.S. flag pole at Creve Coeur Lake. Hours later, a winner’s name was posted.
The Twitter account is among the top trends in St. Louis. Clues are also being offered on Facebook.
