Mules Golf in third after first round of NCAA Super Regional

(EUREKA, Mo.) — The fifth-ranked Central Missouri Mules Golf team sits in third place after an opening round 293 at the NCAA-II Central/Midwest Super Regional at Fox Run Golf Club.
The Mules are five-over par as a team and two shots out of the lead.

Individually, Travis Mays is in a tie for fourth place after firing a two-under par 70 and is two shots back of the leader. Teddy Jones is tied for seventh after an opening round 71.

Robby Hughey is in 24th place at two-over par 74. Cy Moritz and Alex Springer are tied for 65th after both shot an opening round 78.

Malone University is the team leader after the first round with a three-over par 291. Grand Valley State is in second place, one shot behind Malone.

Marcos Sevilla of Southeastern Oklahoma State is the individual leader after round one with a four-under par 68.

The 54-hole tournament continues on Tuesday with second round action. The first Mules golfer is scheduled to tee off at noon.
