Tigers finish in top five at Joplin meet

(JOPLIN, Mo.) – The Warresnburg boys cross country team finished in the top five Saturday in the Missouri Southern Stampede at Missouri Southern State University.
Trent Classen was the Tigers’ top finisher at 33rd with a time of 17:46.
Ryan Dyer placed 39th at 17:55; Alex Burson, 50th, 18:09; Max Burson, 74th, 18:31; J.P. Espinoza, 88th, 18:41; Ethan Holland, 99th, 18:47; Albert Fleer, 120th, 19:01; Nick Forsythe, 144th, 19:18; J.D. Pedersen, 173rd, 19:45; and George Kraus, 191st, 19:59.
The Tigers placed fifth out of 43 teams with 267 points. Jenks, Okla., took first with 128 points.
