(EDMOND, Okla.) — The Central Missouri Jennies Golf team opened the spring portion of their schedule with a 10th-place finish at the UCO Kickingbird Classic at the Kickingbird Golf Club.
The Jennies fired a two-round total of 686 to place 10th in the 16-team field. Oklahoma Christian won the championship with a score of 611.
Kelly Welker was the highest placing Jennie with a tie for 22nd place after a 21-over par, 161. Kayla Temple tied for 41st with a 168. Alexa Boatman tied for 64th (178), while Maranda Smith (179) and Mary Kate Duffin (189) were tied for 66th and tied for 81st, respectively.
Elia Folch of Oklahoma City won the individual title with a five-over par 145.
The Jennies are back in action March 23 and 24 at the Missouri Western Invitational at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
