Bob A. Marr, 80, of Warrensburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Warrensburg First Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Classen officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jim Witaker “Red Beard,” Larry Barker, “Blue Leader,” Ron Stephens, Jim Temmen, Bob Grainger, and Mike Roberts.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joan Hedges, Sonny and Charlotte Phelps, Ron Clawson, Neal DeVasher, Trudy Sites, and Kevin Smith.
Interment will follow at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens will full military honors provided by Warrensburg American Legion and VFW.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
He was born April 1, 1933, in Warrensburg, the son of Everett and Minnie (Rance) Marr.
On June 10, 1956, he married Ann Barbee in Warrensburg.
Bob was a graduate of Warrensburg College High School class of 1951.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, and was a Korean War Veteran.  After his military service, Bob worked for his father at Marr Brothers Quarry in Warrensburg. He later owned his own trucking company until the present time.  Bob was a member of the Warrensburg First Baptist Church, Warrensburg Elks Lodge 673, Warrensburg American Legion Post 131 and VFW Post 2513.  Bob was a loving husband, and a proud dad and grandfather.  He enjoyed a good ball game and loved to watch his grandkids play.  Bob was known as a tireless worker and dedicated family man.
He is survived by his wife Ann; two sons, Gary Marr, and Steve Marr and wife ,Wendy, all of Warrensburg; three brothers, Charles Marr and wife, Bonnie, of Warrensburg; Marion Marr and wife, Edda, of Warrensburg; and John Marr and wife, Sue ,of Raymore Peculiar, Mo.; two sisters, Alberta Grandstaff of Higginsville, Mo.; and Sue Fisher and husband, Bobby, of Warrensburg; friend of the family he raised, Chris Sharp of St. Paul, Minn.; and four grandchildren, Cory, Brett, Teea Ann and Brittany Marr; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Marr, on March 7, 1962; one brother, Bill Marr, in 1953; and one sister, Betty Bird, on May 27, 2009.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warrensburg High School for baseball, softball and wrestling, with checks made payable to Warrensburg High School, and can be left in care of the funeral home.
