Melvin J. Billingsley

Melvin J. Billingsley, 93, Ozark, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 14 at Ozark Riverview Manor.
Graveside services, Masonic Rites, and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Holden Cemetery, Holden, Mo., under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, Mo.
He was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Holden, Mo., a son of Marvin Ruyssell and Ada V. (Wood) Billingsley.  He was a 1937 graduate of Holden High School.  On May 8, 1943, he married Betty Jo Barnes in Kansas City, Mo.  He had lived in Republic and Greenfield before moving to Ozark earlier this year.
Melvin was  a member of South Street Christian Church in Springfield, Mo.; Willard (MO) Lodge AF&AM, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, and Crescent Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving his passing are his wife, Betty Jo, in Springfield, Mo.; two sons, Linn Russell Billingsley, Balwin, Mo., and David M. Billingsley, Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Joanna Billingsley, Ozark, Mo., and Catherine Boling, Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  One son, J. Mark Billingsley, preceded him in death.
