Crest View varsity volleyball tops Windsor

Crest Ridge varsity volleyball earned a hard-fought victory against Windsor on Monday. They won in two tight games, 25-18, 25-23.
Crest Ridge’s Whitney Hutcherson had 5 kills while Heather Delana came away with 6 assists. Lily Hunter contributed 2 blocks and 4 aces.
“The girls have worked hard on passing and their serve receive was much improved tonight. They played with a lot of intensity and movement,” Crest Ridge head coach Jennifer English said. “We also did a great job behind the serving line. Lily Hunter had three aces in a row during the first set and Heather Delana and Kyla Nimsgern each had over 10 serves tonight without an error.”
The win brings their overall record to 2-4.
Crest Ridge JV fell to Windsor in straight games, bringing their overall record to 3-2. The Cougars couldn’t muster much in the first game, losing 25-5 before giving a valiant effort in the second game that ultimately fell short, 25-21.
Crest Ridge will take on Barstow at home tonight at 5:30 p.m.
