WHS boys' swimming have strong showing at invitational

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — Warrensburg High School Boys Swimming competed this past Saturday in the Independence Invitational.  330 swimmers from 21 teams around the Kansas City area and Columbia participated, according to a press release.
Warrensburg varsity swimmers placed 11th overall and JV placed 12th.

Nick Piontek placed 5th in varsity and Tyler Grigg placed 11th in JV in the diving competitions. Both boys are new to diving. Other top performers of the day included Hagan Zinecker who placed 5th in the varsity 50 Free and Taylor Brown who placed 3rd in the JV 500 Freestyle.  The 400 Freestyle team of Hagan Zinecker, Michael Nimmer, Jacob Schaffer and Taylor Brown placed 9th out of 17.  Tuck Mori and Tyler Grigg also garnered team points for their 9th and 11th place finish (out of 37) in the JV 50 Free.
